Hey Priya! Was studying and just wanted to say thank you so much! I was telling my parents how maybe my match cycle being pushed by a year was god's way of changing how I think and approach medicine in the years to come and it is all thanks to you! I know I am not there yet but I want to thank you for changing my perspective towards approaching medicine! I genuinely want to learn, grow and immerse myself in.

I’d like to share my experience working with Dr. Priya, while choosing to keep my credentials private. Writing this review felt important because she far exceeded the role of a typical tutor; she was generous, kind, incredibly hardworking, and deeply committed to helping me succeed. When I first reached out, I had just one week left before my Step 2 exam. My practice scores weren’t even passing, and I was torn between taking the test or postponing it, knowing August was my only chance to meet residency application deadlines. Like many, I was doomscrolling online when I stumbled on a post about a tutor. I didn’t expect much, but I reached out anyway. Dr. Priya responded almost immediately. I explained my situation and how I only had one day left to decide whether I wanted to extend my exam date. Her words stayed with me: “I can guarantee a 20-point improvement.” I believed her, extended my exam by three weeks, and followed her methods. My score rose from 209 to 228. What truly sets Dr. Priya apart is not just her teaching ability but her passion. For exams like these, you need someone who is fearless, focused, and ready to tackle challenges head-on with you for your journey. She is a rare combination of mentor, coach, and motivator. Here’s what I found most impactful: 1) Time is used wisely – Every minute of a session is focused on exam prep. No filler, just high-yield content. 2) Intensive training – She pushed me to complete 8–9 blocks a day. It was exhausting but transformative. 3) Emphasis on revision – Beyond doing questions, she stressed reviewing notes: a step I’d previously overlooked. 4) Flexible and student-centered – I told her I could only afford three weeks and had limited time. Her response? “You choose the schedule and I’ll get you ready.” That kind of commitment is rare. To this day, I’m deeply grateful not just for the score improvement, but also because I matched this cycle into a strong residency program. Dr. Priya was exactly the guidance I needed, right when I needed it most. Dr. Priya meets you where you are, adapts to your needs, and stands by her word every step of the way. She delivers true value and, more importantly, she genuinely cares.

My experience with Dr Priya has been amazing. She is the most talented and knowledgeable doctor I ever met. She can address any topic of concern you may have at that moment and connected with associations of other topics , like the question stem . She will give you all the information you need . She has the techniques and the approach to make it easier to understand and learn to remember . At the same time she is very honest and persisting. She knows which plan will be best for you depending of your scheduled. She will push you to achieve your goals no matter what it takes . I highly recommend step with me.

True to her slogan, Priya really does step with you. She is professional, serious and earnest and without her help I would not have gotten a 250 score and gotten into IM residency with the stress of that time. I could really appreciate this since I paid for MedBoard tutors before I started with Priya 2 weeks later, while still continuing my MedBoard sessions. I immediately noticed the devotion and focus that Priya gave to our sessions compared to my MedBoard tutor. This is not to discourage others from using MedBoard, they offered to switch me to a different tutor, I just couldn’t afford the time when I only had 4 weeks until my exam.

With lack of study time for Step 2 and the upcoming ERAS deadline, I was panicking and Priya helped to set me on track mentally and emotionally with 4 weeks until my Step 2 exam in the first week of September.

I’m not going to say that my experience with Priya was perfect. The 1st week and a half was an adjustment period of me immersing myself in her tutoring and figuring out what was working for me and what wasn’t. Thankfully, I spoke with my friend (who introduced me to Priya) that I wasn’t fully satisfied with my tutoring sessions and she shared that her and Priya were doing something completely different from my sessions with Priya and it sounded amazing. I quickly requested Priya to conduct our sessions the same way and that’s when everything changed for me. Study styles really do matter, so I encourage you to speak earlier instead of later if something is not working for you.

Initially, Priya would just go over my completed NBME questions with me, review my incorrects, quiz me on my incorrects, and check my test taking skills so that she could teach me tips to improve them. After I made my request, she began each session with a lecture on commonly tested, high yield system-based topics while quizzing me, followed by Amboss questions from 200 concepts and step 2 blocks. I felt like I was learning and digesting much more information after changing the session structure. Below, I go into detail on exactly how Priya’s tutoring benefitted me:

1) Priya gave me a mini lecture on high yield material with each day focusing on a different system, starting with my weaknesses. This method primed my brain for the content that I would be seeing in my practice questions, while testing my understanding of the lecture. I personally study better with visuals so the note-taking she was doing was helpful and I reviewed the notes after each session.

2) During the lecture, Priya shared mnemonics, which I loved! Some stuck with me and they helped when I didn’t understand the concept yet. It was a great tool to enhance my question answering speed.

3) Priya acted like Anki for me. At the start of each session, she quizzed me on the topics from the previous sessions, which kept me on my toes and gave me a healthy dose of anxiety haha.

4) Priya asked me to discuss my thought process out loud when doing a question to check my knowledge of the content and analytical skills.

5) Even with all the other students that she is tutoring, Priya makes sure to check in on you. I remember telling her what day I would take a practice exam and she texted me to make sure I was on track. She definitely lit a fire under my butt so that I wouldn’t feel prone to procrastinate.

Cons with Priya: She is fast-paced with high expectations for the amount of questions you do, but be honest with her and she will work with you.

I had the absolute pleasure of being tutored by Priya for my board exams, and I can confidently say she is a rare gem in medical education. She’s a wealth of knowledge, and her ability to break down complex topics into understandable pieces is truly exceptional. What stood out the most was how one simple question would evolve into an in-depth discussion, helping me make powerful connections across multiple subjects.

Priya doesn’t just teach—she actively engages you. She would quiz me throughout our sessions, ensuring I wasn’t just listening, but truly learning. Her custom practice questions were spot-on and helped reinforce the material. She even sent me homework assignments, which kept me accountable and on track—something I deeply appreciated.

Honestly, the value she provides far exceeds what she charges. I’ve paid for other tutors in the past who cost significantly more and didn’t come close to the depth, clarity, and dedication Priya brings to every session. If you’re serious about mastering your boards, Priya is the tutor you want by your side. I recommend her without hesitation.
