Hi had the pleasure of working with Priya for both my Step 1 and Step 2 exam. A couple of my friends had used her for their exams and recommended her to me. She was actually the first and only tutor I had tried but I just knew after the first session that she was the tutor I had been searching for. She went above and beyond for me both exams. I took my exams out of order aka Step 2 before taking Step 1. Right off the bat at our demo session Priya asked me what type of learner I was and what my goal score was. I'm the type of learner where I need to be actively engaged via questions and revision not just listening. Priya is perfect for that. She focused on high yield content and which allowed me to focus on the big picture while she filled in my knowledge gaps. She also gave mnemonics and easy ways for me to remember high yield content. She focused on making sure I was constantly reviewing the content we had covered and increasing the number of blocks I was doing so I could see the questions being asked in many different ways. She also works with your schedule and is super flexible. I am happy to say I landed within my goal score range with a score above 250 on Step 2. I recently took Step 1 last month and I passed it after previously failing on my first try 2 years ago. She was my biggest cheerleader and and motivator during the times where I was exhausted and scared. She made time for me even as she had to be out of the country and preparing for her wedding because she knew I was nervous. Again, above and beyond! She will get you across the finish line! My favorite saying from her was "Think like a doctor because that is what you will become" and that saying always helped me change the way I was approaching a problem. I plan on retaining her services for my Step 3 exam next year! I give her my highest recommendation!

She laid out the reality and the possibilities to atttained the score I want for the specialty I plan on applying.
Her teaching method: How to answer question- she calls it the AI which basically mean read every question as though they were real patients standing in front of you and what will be your immediate course of action as a Doctor.
So from this point my mindset shifted and how I looked at question and answer question is different. She also added that after reading a question and you havent arrived at the answer in 20sec move on. She wasn't kidding. I am hopeing to get better and faster at this.

Then, I’d do supervised practice questions on the topic so we could fill in any potential knowledge gaps and hammer in the high-yield topics, alongside re-enforcing not only the knowledge I learned from him but the process of approaching clinical scenarios. Of course, all this was sprinkled with brilliant mnemonics!

More than just increasing my knowledge base, at the risk of sounding hyperbolic, I feel so strongly that the experience re-ignited my zeal for medicine. I loved the experience of getting to really understand conditions for what felt like the first time and was able to really connect exam questions with clinical correlates rather than seeing them as completely distinct entities.

Hey Priya! Was studying and just wanted to say thank you so much! I was telling my parents how maybe my match cycle being pushed by a year was god's way of changing how I think and approach medicine in the years to come and it is all thanks to you!
